ONTARIO ST
ontario st was not only a kitchen project, but a newborn nursery project, a solid quartersawn oak built-in bookshelf project and a new downstairs washroom project. 4 projects at the same time all to be completed by baby’s arrival date! as always dsc started with extensive research into the aesthetics required and produced design drawings and texture boards of finishes for approval. by using wide plank oak flooring throughout the first floor, and using quartersawn oak for the bookcases, kitchen cabinet edgebanding, valance and exhaust fan cover each separate area flowed seamlessly into the next without feeling disjointed. The baby’s nursery made use of a white veneer core cabinet for durability, topped with and edge banded in solid paduk. Finally the downstairs washroom had a custom walnut vanity with a circle vessel sink allowing the warmth of the walnut kitchen island to be highlighted in another portion of the house. our clients were very gracious during this reno which must of been extremely stressful on top of the close arrival of their first child. and yes dsc went out the back door as baby came in the front.
